Our Story
With over 10 years of experience working within disability services, we recognised a need for support that goes beyond traditional models of care. Too often, opportunities for people with disabilities to develop new skills, pursue their interests, build independence, and access meaningful experiences were limited.
We founded Dragon Care with a vision to do things differently. Our aim was to create a vibrant, inclusive, and person centred service where children, young people, and adults are encouraged to explore their potential, build confidence, develop life skills, and form lasting friendships.
Today, Dragon Care provides engaging opportunities that promote independence, wellbeing, community participation, and personal growth. From day opportunities and short breaks to employment training and community support, everything we do is designed to help people live fulfilling lives and achieve their goals in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Our Impact

Our person centred approach supports individuals to build confidence, develop independence, learn new skills, and achieve their personal goals. We provide opportunities for people to gain practical skills in areas such as hair and beauty, gardening, performing arts, digital technology, and everyday life skills, helping them to increase their confidence and prepare for future opportunities. By building strong links within local communities, we also support individuals to access work experience, volunteering opportunities, social activities, and community participation.
